Gateway to
the world

Transformation of the world begins with spreading the gospel

We are living in an era of unprecedented globalization, digital connectivity, and the rapid expansion of the internet. Despite this, roughly 4 out of every 10 people alive right now have not only never heard the good news of Jesus but currently do not have access to it.

The current rate of global population growth is outpacing the rate at which the Church is reaching people by a growing margin. South Asia alone is growing by the equivalent of Canada’s entire population every 1.5 years.

Partnering where God is at work

We believe that South Asia is the next gateway that God is calling us to serve. We are seeing a revolutionary move of God and the gospel break out.

Why
South Asia?

South Asia holds a large percentage of the global population, and yet most South Asians have never heard of the name of Jesus…

Until now.

We are seeing a revolutionary move of God and the Gospel break out across South Asia. This has the opportunity to be the largest breakout of the Gospel that we will see in our lifetime.

A Global Shift of Christianity

Throughout Church history, God has always been at work through waves and concentrated movements of God’s spirit in specific parts of the world that have shifted over time.

These movements have served as gateways where the gospel has broken through in difficult places and created large-scale gospel access that has shaped history and culture and expanded the Church.

Distribution of Christianity

Christianity was faithfully spread by a group of Middle Eastern believers who brought it throughout Africa, Europe, and Asia.

100 years ago, the Christian population was centered around the Global North, concentrated in Europe and North America. Over the last century, the center of Christianity has migrated to the global south, with Africa and Latin America at the center in the modern world.

In 1900, 82% of christians lived in the global north while 18% lived in the global south.
As of 2020, only 33% live in the global north while 67% of christians live in the global south.
Global North. Global South.

Opportunity

We have the unprecedented opportunity to reach the unreached at a large scale in one of the most unreached parts of the world by focusing our collective efforts on supporting the current move of God in South Asia.

It comes down to the exponential power of numbers. 1 out of every 4 people alive today lives in South Asia. By partnering with south Asians as they introduce their communities to Jesus, we expect to see holistic transformation in this region that will start a domino effect of change that will have a lasting impact globally.

Vision

Gateway has built relationships with local, indigenous leaders all over South Asia who are serving in their own countries.

Our goal is not to take over for the local leaders but to serve and support the work God is already doing. We will help by providing tangible supplies and access to further training for current and future leaders.

With the global expansion of the internet, we also have the unique opportunity to digitally cross borders and reach people in their homes. We are partnering with a digital mentorship program to respond to the needy, hurting, lost people of South Asia online. Anyone with a willingness to join can start with simple training.

Gateway is extending an invitation to followers of Jesus to mobilize our resources and help fuel the gospel movement in South Asia, reaching those without access to the gospel at scale.
