Mentoring
How it works
Gateway is partnering with an online ministry to train online mentors from both Canada and South Asia to respond to requests from South Asian seekers who are looking to know Jesus in the online world.
The goal is to connect online seekers to trained church planters and other believers right in their own home city. Imagine hundreds of Canadians, in their own living rooms, being able to connect seekers from South Asia to a trained believer close to their home.

Individual
From where you are to the world, digital mentoring lets mission-minded Canadians connect with South Asians and introduce them to Jesus. Anyone can sign up!
Small Groups
Sign up as a small group and work as a team to answer dozens of messages from those who are hurting, broken, and seeking hope.
Churches
Inform your church community about online mentoring. Having the whole church involved allows you to connect and support individuals who are interested in mentoring.
Each church should assign a point person who can be an advocate for digital mentoring and recruiting new mentors from your church.
This person acts as a coach—someone who can oversee and answer any questions.

Training
To become an online mentor, simply click the sign up link
You’ll be asked for your email, a brief testimony, a reference, and a link to have a criminal record check done (at no cost).
We will provide you with easy-to-use templates, resources, and tutorials
You will be given a list of resources teaching you how to talk to people from different faith backgrounds, how to introduce God into conversations, and how to recognize specific spiritual thresholds as people gradually move to accept Jesus into their life.
You'll be set up with a coach and start to receive messages!
We will set you up with a personal coach to mentor you and support you. This platform is very flexible and fits in with your schedule. You can control how many new messages you see and what days you’re available to reply to these messages.
Share your faith with people in South Asia
As you share their faith, more people will come to know Christ. We’ve already seen this happen numerous times. Missions isn’t the realm of the international worker anymore. It’s in our homes. It’s practical. It’s simple. It’s safe. And it’s effective. Join us!
